This year’s Glen Huntly Village Car Show was an absolute triumph, bringing together over 50 beautifully preserved cars and hundreds of car enthusiasts, families, and visitors. Thanks to the fantastic efforts of Jinny, whose organizational skills and community spirit made this event possible, the streets of Glen Huntly came alive in a celebration of classic cars, history, and neighborhood pride.
From the crack of dawn, Glen Huntly Road was transformed into a spectacular display, featuring everything from classic cars to historic fire trucks, police vehicles, and ambulances. Each car told its own story, showcasing a different era and the craftsmanship that has defined automotive history. Families, car lovers, and passersby marveled at the meticulously maintained vehicles, snapping photos and chatting with the proud owners.
The turnout was tremendous, with over 50 cars on display and an impressive gathering of car clubs, including the Pontiac Car Club and Citroën Car Club. The sense of community was evident, with local cafes like St Zita’s Cafe and Whyte Cafe sponsoring coffee vouchers to keep everyone energized. It was a day of shared stories, laughter, and discovery, offering something for all ages.
The event was so well-received that Glen Huntly Village is officially making it an annual tradition, with next year’s car show already scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd, 2025. With the incredible success of this year’s event, we’re looking forward to seeing even more spectacular vehicles, community involvement, and the continued support of local organizations like the Caulfield Police and Historical Police Society.
